  So we're a few weeks into Hubby working from home.

In order to give him space to work in peace and quiet, I had to give up mine. 

We're only in a two-bedroom apartment and have always joked about the spare room being mine.  It's been completely decorated as such but it's never been "off limits" to him.  Before he moved in it was just me so what else to do with a spare room but... to use it!  Of course a third bedroom or finished basement would be nice.  He has mentioned wanting a man cave so he can be a nerd like me.

Well, week one of his working at home was a complete cluster-you-know-what.  Mostly because I'm a spoiled brat and could not use "my room".  I felt like I was being punished by having to sit in the living room; relegated to his laptop computer.  I know.  Oh, woe is me. 

Of course I made it clearly obvious that I was miserable from day one.  So much so that he kept apologizing!  I'm horrible.

Week two wasn't too bad as we worked out a routine of sharing the room.  By "sharing" I mean I snuck in and used it while he was out!  Eventually he'll be on the road more; visiting clients and drumming up new business. 

Prior to any of this we talked about getting a new desk to give me more workspace.  We put that plan into fast-forward sooner than later.  Two weekends ago we set off to IKEA.  I had already picked out the desk I wanted so it was a simple shop.  We spent all of Sunday assembling and rearranging the rooms. 

To conclude...

Weeks three and four have been lovely.  He's temporarily in our bedroom with the smaller desk and I am back in "my room" with the new desk.  Not ideal but it'll do until we have a larger place.

I know I'm spoiled and set in my ways.  Happens when you live alone for so many years.  Yes, my Mother taught me how to share but you know how it is.

I'm so glad that man loves me.  I would have been told a few things about myself from other guys.

Wow. Separate working places. That's perfect for me. Honestly, I'm having a hard time separating personal from work when I'm at home.
